Gift Aid

This is a top quality wheeze that enables the Group to get some free cash out of the Government (now that can't be a bad thing!!)

If you pay tax in the UK, then Gift Aid is a simple way to increase the value of your gift to 1st Irthlingborough Scout Group.

Making your donation using Gift Aid will enable us to reclaim the basic rate tax on your Member subscription or gift to us. This means that if you make a subscription payment of £10 to us using Gift Aid, that payment is worth £12.82 to us.

Subject to a few rules, you can give any amount, large or small, regular or one-off and we can reclaim the tax.

If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can claim relief on the difference between the basic rate and higher rate of tax.

If you do not pay tax, you should NOT use Gift Aid.

If you would like to see 1st Irthlingborough Scout Group benefit from Gift Aid, please complete and return the Gift Aid form to the Group.

Please click here to download the Microsoft Word version of the form
