1^st Irthlingborough Group Barbecue 2011 - 16^th July - POSTPONED

County Cub 2011 - 17^th, 18^th and 19^th June

On June 17^th, 18^th and 19^th, 30 Cub Scouts and 11 Leaders from 1^st Irthlingborough attended the Northamptonshire County Cub Camp. Here they joined with 1500 other Cubs from all over the county in this by-annual which is held at Overstone Park near Northampton.

The Camp had an International theme so to tie in with our link with 1st Eaglemont Cub Scouts in Australia the Cubs and Leaders braved the rain during the opening ceremony dressed in surfing style shorts and T-shirts, hats with corks in and custom made ( i.e. cardboard!) surfboards.

102 AGM's and counting!! - 19^th May 2011

2011; Another exciting and fast moving year! These last few months have seen the formation of a brand new Adult Section and a New Explorer section. We are launching our 2^nd Scout Section night within the next month!

1^st Irthlingborough show off their new trailer

The Scout Group Council raised funds for this vital piece of equipment from proceeds from a Race Night, a donation from Northamptonshire Police and were supported by a most generous donation from the Grassroots Fund, a part of the Northamptonshire Community Fund, a charity established to help community projects.
