Beaver Leader Invested

Beavers were pleased to welcome another Leader. Seianne, a member of Scout Network, was invested recently at a Beaver Meeting Night. We welcome her into our Leader Team and thank her for her contribution to Scouting!

 
Beavers Weed-Pull in Irthlingborough

As part of their World Community Badge, Beavers took on the task of WEED-PULLING around the Town Centre. On a very hot morning the Young People, armed with weed-pullers and protective gloves, certainly smartened up our Town.  The event was organised by Leaders Claire Sumner and Karen Marriott and their Team.  Welcome refreshments were provided free of charge by Gemma at the Born and Bred Café and the Beavers were congratulated by Deputy Mayor Adrian Winkle who arranged personal 'thank-you' letter to be sent to all the participants.

 
Beavers Celebrate Mother's Day

Not to be outdone by inviting their Dads last year, the Beavers entertained their Mums to tea and biscuits!

 
Great Ormond Street Sponsored Walk!

Despite bitterly cold weather, on Sunday 24th February, Beavers, Leaders, Parents ,brothers, sisters and friends set out to walk 2.8 miles (which was calculated by Scouts and turned out to be 7.2 miles!!) Great spirits and good fun was had and all the proceeds - yet to be finally calculated - will all go to Great Ormond Street Hospital and this activity gained all those taking part earning a Gold Medal.

 
Beavers Fundraising forJohn's Charity

On Saturday 24th February Beavers, their Parents and many friends joined together at the Scout Headquarters to raise funds for ' John' a local man with HSCT Relapsing MS who is hoping to travel to Mexico for specialist treatment. Tea and coffee was served and a fundraising stall and games were a great success for the children. With great efforts by Claire, Karen and the Team over £140 was raised for this deserving charity.
