Christmas Capers 2018 !!
Beavers and Cubs joined with some Scouts, their Leaders and Helpers to celebrate an early Christmas! The Youngsters went along to Overstone Pack Holiday Centre to prepare the 'Tree' and wait for Santa to make an early visit. He did not disappoint! Apart from a very wet and muddy weekend everyone had a great time with a Christmas-Style Dinner being prepared for over 40 hungry mouths. A video show followed before parents collected very tired Youngsters. Some Scouts camped out as part of their Brass Monkey Pennant Award, braving very poor, wet and stormy weather. Thanks must go to the Leader Team for all their dedication and hard work and to the Scout Active Support Members for providing the traditional fayre

SCOUT TOTE 2018 WINNER

The December and final Draw for the 2018 Tote was carried out at the I-Grow Christmas Fayre and the winners were decided. Thank you to all the participants on the Annual Tote and we hope for your kind support in 2019! The Bonus Hamper was won by Mrs Barbara Abbott, a pensioner in her 90's and a keen Tote Supporter since the start of the Tote.  The Hamper was presented by our Tote Organiser, Cyndy Phillips, at the Irthlingborough Day Centre, where Barbara is a regular member.

I Grow Christmas Fayre

Scouting supported the Annual I-Grow Christmas Fayre in Irthlingborough High Street on Saturday 1st December. The Beavers raised money for their activities, Explorer Scouts sold 'glo-sticks' and fancy goods whilst the Scout Active Support Unit raised funds with a Tombola Stall - all the prizes being generously given by Parents and Supporters - to help offset losses from the cancellation of the District Scout Fireworks Display. Our thanks must go to all our Supporters. At this event, the cheque as proceeds from the Armistice Day Refreshments was presented to the Royal British Legion.

Armistice Day 2018

The Scout Group paraded at the Old Scouts Memorial, joined in with the United Service at St.Peters and laid a wreath at the Towns's War Memorial. Our 12 Old Scouts who made the Supreme Sacrifice for King and Country were remembered with a display of Crosses on Parsons Green. The Scout Active Support Unit provided refreshments at Parsons Green and the Townsfolk responded to enable a magnificent sum of £152.00 to be raised for the Royal British Legion. Sincere thanks to all......

110th Anniversary Reunion 2018

More than 200 past members of Irthlingborough Scouts joined with friends and supporters for a Grand Reunion at the Band Club. Guest of honour was Dean Smith our County Commissioner. Our District Commissioner Michele Hunt was among the guests as were many Scouting friends from as far away as Canada, Italy and even Wales! Experiences and memories were exchanged and we were especially pleased to see some 1948 Scouts present; David Maddock, John Cox ,Derek Horne and John Hall and our former Cub Leader Marie Flawn, who was on the 1948 Group picture as well! A great night was enjoyed as we welcomed members of the Devizes Westminster Canoe race 1972/3 team headed by Colin Cross and team members Alan Watts, Chris Fisher and Philip Bailey.
