Cubs Night Hike

A Night-hike for the Cubs was organised on a really cold night along the local footpaths ending at the Rushden Lakes Shopping Complex.

Cubs Climbing at the Rock Centre

The Cubs were given a special evening at the Rock Frontier Centre at Irthlingborough to try out some climbing on their purpose-built wall. Cub Leader Anna, who works at the Centre, arranged this professionally supervised event - which was a new and exciting experience for the Cubs. Thank you Anna!

Beavers Celebrate Mother's Day

Not to be outdone by inviting their Dads last year, the Beavers entertained their Mums to tea and biscuits!

Nertwork Activities

RECENT NETWORK ACTIVITIES Members of the Nene Valley Scout Network meet regularly and take part in lots of activities including work on their own Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Expeditions, Airgun Rifle Shooting , helping to launch a new Scouting Group in Thrapston and taking part in the Annual Monopoly Run in London.  Many members actively give up their time to supporting Beaver Colonies, Cub Packs, Scout Troops and Explorer Scout Units in the local area.

Irthlingborough Archaelogical Society

Scouts and Cubs joined the Members of Irthlingborough Archaeological Society to clean and prepare the many artifacts in-earthed at the Dig last Autumn. The carved stone, of great interest, with a Romano-British scene was shown to the Young People and the significance explained. When the 'dig' resumes later this year, the Young People will be invited to join in. Thanks to Karen and Paul for organising the event for the Cubs and Scouts.
