Irthlingborough Carnival 2017

Scouting took a leading part in this years Carnival - Irthlingborough's 80th! Scouts and Explorer Scouts headed the Parade with our old 103 year-old Trek Cart, giving out the change and collecting money for the Committee. Ivan and Nick took over the Team for this part of the proceedings and our entry won a Silver Cup! Beavers and Cubs had a walking entry entitled "Army" and had a super day organised by Karen and Claire. The Scout Active Support Unit erected a large Marquee earlier in the day to support the Committee. Afterwards the Scout Active Support Unit provided refreshments for the public and Chris Ward kindly arranged a Pirate Treasure Hunt Stall ably aided by the Pirate Queen Lisa ( our Group Scout Leader). A superb effort all around and a good advert for Local Scouting!
